Doug Hannah's passion for storytelling and film was ignited during the frosty winters of Chicago. Marooned indoors with only classic movies on TCM and Encore, Doug's fascination with the silver screen took root. Armed with his father's camcorder, he embarked on his creative journey that would evolve into a career as a television editor and director.

A pivotal moment arrived during high school when Doug encountered an early Avid editing machine. The realization that filmmaking could be a profession rather than a hobby was a turning point. This epiphany led him to Ithaca College in upstate New York, where he honed his cinematic skills and laid the foundation for his future.

Venturing to “glamorous Hollywood,” Doug's early days were marked by humble tasks—delivering tapes, running errands, and mastering the art of post-production at Chainsaw, a post facility known for award shows. Late nights and weekends spent refining his editing abilities paved the way to his role on the acclaimed series "Burn Notice." It was here that he cultivated his knack for pacing and storytelling.

A fortuitous opportunity on "White Collar" enabled Doug to imprint his signature editorial style on the show. By season 5, he was wielding the directorial reins, translating his deep understanding of narrative flow into captivating visuals. After honing his skill on shows such as “Graceland” and “Code Black,” he began an exciting dual role as Producer and Director on "Magnum PI." Doug's journey had come full circle, intertwining his background in editing with his directorial expertise.

Drawing from his experience as an editor and director, Doug's approach to each scene is meticulous. Analyzing the scene's purpose, he crafts cinematic solutions that resonate both visually and emotionally. His portfolio boasts a technical understanding that translates into the deeply human stories that unfold on screen.
